Dada sets his sights on hitting the silver screen

FORMER Mr India South Africa, Razeen Dada, who handed over his title last week, has his sights set on a Bollywood career.

The 27-yearold Durban-based businessman leaves for Mumbai early next month where he will enrol in a nine-month course at a film school.

However, even before he gets there – and with acting classes behind him in Johannesburg and London –Dada already has his first Bollywood movie role lined up.

“It will be called The Business of Love and I will be one of the leading male actors,” he said.

The Bollywood movie, with South African and Indian producers, would be filmed in Durban, Mumbai and London.

A qualified chartered accountant, as well as a partner in an investment company, Dada has long dreamed of a Bollywood career and said he did not want to live a life where that dream did not come true.

Winning the Mr India South Africa title last year had been a “nice stepping stone”, proving that he had been able to achieve something at home before branching out to another market.

He has been sharpening his dancing skills and working with his personal trainer to give his six-pack abs more definition.

“So you might get to see me with my shirt off on the beach in a Bollywood movie,” Dada grinned, adding that his goal was to become a superstar.
