SHARKS supporters would have been pleased with the way their team responded away against the Cheetahs, after last week’s flat performance against the Kings.
The Sharks took the Cheetahs on at their own game and prevailed 38-30 in an entertaining match.
Well-marshalled by young flyhalf Curwin Bosch, the Sharks played with flair and showed a willingness to play an expansive game. Robert du Preez’s men outscored the Cheetahs four tries to three, no mean feat in Bloemfontein. And Bosch was cool as a cucumber with the boot, slotting 18 points.
Next weekend is the Lions away in Johannesburg in what promises to be a humdinger between the two form South African teams. Another away win for the Sharks would set up their season nicely.
