The Municipality has stated in recent media releases that they are running out of burial space. I suggest they use the Crossmoor area, which is presently being targeted by land invaders. In this way, the community would get services in terms of burial space, and the Municipality would save millions on overtime for the Metro Police to guard that piece of land. TJ.

What is going on? Good start, then confusion. It looks like our side is flat. What is it, are we too good or are we just wasting time and money? Come on, guys, catch a wake-up or pack your bags and come home. We can see something is wrong in this team… Please send them home, they are a disgrace to our country. To save us from this disgrace, the coach must get up, take a white towel and walk onto the playing field and throw the towel in, forfeit the game, book their seats on a early flight back home. They are not interested in playing cricket. The best team in the world and look, they are acting worse than a bunch of schoolboys. What a shame!
AB de Villiers should be replaced with Imran Tahir as captain.
AB cannot choose and play the games he wants to play.
When some cricket fans labelled the Proteas “chokers” when it came to high temperament matches, previously I did not share the same opinion. But after watching them play India on Sunday, I have to now agree with them. The needless run-outs of some of their seasoned batsmen leaves us in no doubt that they are indeed chokers. The first two run-outs were avoidable. There was no hurry for them taking risky singles, which eventually led to the run- outs. There were plenty of overs to make a decent total without putting yourself at risk of getting out. We had high hopes for them reaching the final considering the way they played in the run up to the ICC tournament. Faf du Plessis needs to replace AB as captain of the Proteas. Going by the reputation of AB being a world-class player doesn’t qualify him to be captain.

Electricity account rip-offs by municipality Am I the only one in Durban who is being overcharged by means of multiple ESTIMATED accounts instead of the meters being read every THREE months. This department is in absolute shambles and should be fully investigated. Concerned.
I don’t know if I am the only person who cannot get through to the Metro Revenue Department. I have tried every day this week and eventually getting tired of holding on. Have taken the option of leaving a message for someone to phone me back, as well as the e-mail option. Needless to say, I am still waiting for a call or answer to my e-mail. Roy.

To the colonist who suggests all the ‘benefits’ of Western culture, like overpriced branded clothing, be taken away so Africa can return to its pristine state… Are you going to put back all the animals and restore the ecology so the people can go back to hunting and living a normal life that isn’t all about cellphones?

All major banks donating 10m each for relief in Knysna. One question comes to mind: why only donate for whites? Why not when the blacks are also affected by disasters? Seems like white lives still matter for many, over the lives of blacks. (m)
