Claps back after joke about kissing Brody Jenner’s ex-wife just after her shock parting from Liam Hemsworth
MILEY Cyrus has urged Brody Jenner to “take a nap and cool off” after he joked about her kissing his ex, Kaitlynn Carter, following her shock split from Liam Hemsworth.
Brody, 35, had taken to social media, where he shared a photo of himself standing on a cliff solo with a pointed caption.
“Don’t let yesterday take up too much of today,” he wrote on Instagram, just the day after photos of his ex-wife getting hot and heavy with Miley, 26, emerged.
Poking fun at the situation, Brody’s friend Brandon Thomas Lee, 23, added to the comments: “Let’s round this scandal our band post a pic of us making out,” the son of Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee said with a kissy emoji.
Brody kept up the playful tone in his reply: “Watch out! Pics of Liam and I holding hands on the beach coming soon.”
The singer/actress clapped back with a sassy response, telling Jenner: “Go take a nap in your truck and cool off. #HotGirlSummer.”
Miley was alluding to a part of The Hills: New Beginnings where Jenner stormed off from a fight with Carter to spend the night in his car.
While Miley seemed to have the last laugh, Brody’s mom Linda Thompson still chimed in with her own two cents.
“Always so proud of your dignity, generosity, kindness & nobility. You are a gentleman and I love you very much. Onward... (thumbs-up emoji),” Caitlyn Jenner’s ex wrote.
Miley’s reps confirmed her split on Saturday, hours after she was seen kissing Kaitlynn, 30, on a boat in Italy – a week after her split from “husband” Brody Jenner.
Miley and Liam’s break-up news shocked fans on Saturday after just seven months of marriage. But according to sources, people close to them are not all that surprised.
The beauty broke her silence on the matter on Sunday morning, saying she was going to let life take its path in its own time, as reports revealed their split “wasn’t surprising” as they had “a lot of issues”.
“Don’t fight evolution, because you will never win,” she began the deep and metaphoric post.
“Like the mountain I am standing on top of, which was once under water, connected with Africa, change is inevitable.
“The Dolomites were not created overnight, it was over millions of years that this magnificent beauty was formed.
“My dad always told me ‘Nature never hurries but it is always on time’… it fills my heart with peace and hope KNOWING that is true.”
She finished with a reflection on her own life: “I was taught to respect the planet and its process and I am committed to doing the same with my own… (sic).”
The Mother’s Daughter singer’s rep confirmed the split on Saturday: “Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time. Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers.
“They still remain dedicated parents to all the animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.”
And with Liam yet to say anything of the news, Miley addressed the split on Sunday while with Kaitlynn on the boat.
She lip-synced her old Bangerz lyrics – a track she released after their initial split in 2013.
“Why do I need his milli’s when I got Billy on speed dial?” she sang while referencing famous dad, Billy Ray Cyrus.
