Our justice system has delivered a fantastic decision with the judgment against Dudu Myeni, banning her from holding any directorship for the rest of her life. This follows her planned, methodical destructive approach in destroying SAA. The NPA needs to take legal action. If found guilty, she should be fined for the losses incurred at SAA, her assets confiscated to repay SAA and then jailed at least 10 years. | Tony Bennett, Gillits

COVID-19

If the coronavirus is spread through cigarette smoke because the smoker is breathing in and out, the solution is simple... Stop breathing. I wonder if non smokers do not breathe in and out?

The Education department in KZN is led by a young and experienced MEC and HOD. Imagine paying R2 000 for a thermometer that sells for R800.

The poor person (anonymous) talking about how far smoke travels obviously didn’t read the report on page 9 about how very few smokers contracted the virus and how nicotine blocks the virus from smokers. Obviously an ex-smoker.

Just been chatting to my brother in the UK. He is very shocked we cannot buy cigarettes here. They are freely available there. They also have serious Covid-19 cases. I think our current politicians are repeating the excesses of apartheid where people were bossed around “for their own good”. Nanny State knows best! In reality politicians just enjoy throwing their weight about. A little knowledge can be dangerous and lead politicians to think they know best. Unban immediately. | Mike.

It’s time people realise this Covid19 is not just about sanitising or masks and gloves. What about the trauma, the mental state of a person, child and the natural of fear? School children being out under enormous pressure yet in the past children were pushed to get to the next grade. Six months of more pressure, anxiety, worry, who had to deal with all of this?

Stop speaking for those who do not want gatherings and people’s denial when they do have the virus and walking around, the negligence in considering the next person. Open your eyes and do things better!!! Children are the leaders of tomorrow, preserve them, stop your politics and tit for tat behavior and be responsible thinking adults. Meet this enemy with unison and intelligence. Find your humanity.

ODDS AND ENDS

The world over. Especially in the US. Black lives do matter. Moreso if he is killed by a white man. But in South Africa it does not matter because Collin Khosa was killed by black cops from the SANDF. Oh boy, if he was killed by a white cop all the activists, the EFF, the unions, the clergy, the opportunists would have razed the country to the ground. Looters would have had the best time of their lives. Sies man, I hang my head in shame at the double standards practised by our people. Where’s justice in this country?
