Social media had its say after the Action SA party announced its interim leadership

-

@ Kagisomonyadiwa

Action SA is not bringing anything new to the table. I see the old guard who have been tried, tested but failed. Where are young people? I see nothing different to the ANC here. For me, I’m looking at the same script, not so different cast.

@ Charliedance18

Herman used our valid frustrations and that of the # Putsouthafricafirst to further his political career. Nowhere in the world are citizens not put first but we South Africans are not allowed to demand that because we will be labelled xenophobic. There’s no alternative to the ANC.

@ Siyabon34775911

I think this new party is going to do well because it has suitable leadership to take this country forward.

@ legasamollo7

Eish, let me be honest with everyone, Action SA will become a valid opposition and for me is doing well so far. I think they are going to create everlasting change for the next generation of South Africa.

@ Iam_ Kenney_ 01

Action SA doesn’t have a strategy to bring change because they always talk about what other parties are doing wrong and want to capitalise on that. It’s like Action SA is built on the opposition’s downfall. That obsession is going to cause humongous problems. We want a party with a plan.

@ Emmanuelmiyela1

The lives of the people are going to change: jobs will be created and corruption will be low in municipalities, also in Joburg. We will finally see them getting to grips with fighting illegal immigration.

@ Owenchipen

Herman Mashaba’s party has a long way to go if they are going to be contesting for national elections in a few years, but I think they are off to a great start.

@ khizo4

With patriotic incumbents such as Dr Makhosi Khoza and Vytjie Mentor I can see glimpses of a hopeful future. I wish Mcebisi Jonas can join this patriotic movement.

@ sa_ illegal

Unemployed former ANC and DA members are joining Action SA to be leaders so that we can vote for them to feed their children. Just another pyramid scheme.

@ Dingiso_ Lucky

I’m not in support of any movement, but I fully support any organisation that takes seriously the cleaning of our country of illegal activities, including criminals that are South Africans.

@ Mahadeoseems

Who wants recycled derelict party defectors? Mashaba is simply not passionate about reforms, he’s definitely not serious ... a party with ANC riff- raff? I see John Moodey defected to Action SA despite leaving the DA under a cloud.

@ itumaribe

All politicians are the same. Action SA is made up of former DA and ANC members. South Africa needs something different. We need a party that can clean up the country and restore dignity and ownership to all of its people.
