Why hire a white defence lawyer, Mr Malema?

-

WHAT is wrong with the EFF president and Dr Mbuyiseni Ndlozi? They confront a white man in court and accuse him of blocking their way. Then they say that the white man must not think he is superior, yet they hire a white lawyer to defend them in court. We don’t want people who feel inferior in the presence of whites to rule this country. Please go back to school and learn some confidence. Please don’t hire poor people to toyi toyi outside the court to bluff South Africans that the EFF has a lot of support. Anyone who is hungry will enjoy a bus ride and free sandwiches.

I’m seething with anger as I type this message, re Alochna Moodley’s racist remarks ( Daily News). What on earth has she been thinking? There’s no place in our community for people like her. I hope she is dealt with and taught about racial cohesion. As an Indian, I apologise for her racial remarks and as Malema said, some Indians are racist but not all. Political parties also need to take responsibility about creating racial cohesion and not make utterances. The media also need not sensationalise, but create more racial unity. | ALLEN

GOVERNMENT

The reason why the government keeps bailing out SAA is because if SAA fails, it proves to the whole world that the ANC is a failure and the laughing stock of the world. By having its own airline it is showing the world that it is not a third world country.

I understand the SAPS need to conduct roadblocks but they need to plan please. On Thursday and Friday they had a roadblock at Virginia. It took me one hour to go from the Hypermarket to Virginia because two lanes became six lanes with people making U- turns and driving down the wrong side of the road. Come on SAPS, put metro police on the M4 to stop all the nonsense and keep the road flowing, it’s not rocket science. | Mike

Tito Mboweni tried hard on behalf of his party to project a positive outlook for the South African economy but he surely doesn’t believe it. Covid has led to corruption, destructive protests and a citizenry with a culture of entitlement that actively breeds and rely on social welfare. It has brought South Africa to its knees.

Pravin Gordhan, you are upset that experts and the people who pay your salary are up in arms about the SAA bailout. I don’t need a degree to tell you that if you put one rand into a bucket that has no bottom it is never coming back. What makes you think that the people running these money- sucking government operations are going to do anything different? Where have you ever heard of governments taking loans with crazy interest rates to pay salaries? Your ANC government has had the same problems for 25 years – you all refuse to listen to the people you are supposed to serve.

To the metro cop in his car watching the car or taxi not stopping at a red traffic light and not doing anything about it. Do your job and do it right. You are not getting paid only to wear a uniform.

South African Airways and Eskom billions – people, watch who you vote for in the next elections.

Target 80% pass for matrics? Easy. Pass all with 35%. Sorted. Best education in the world. Next year, we have another million people looking for a job.

ODDS AND ENDS

Trenance Park Secondary School Verulam was robbed 25 times in the past two years. The latest being October 28. From computers and monitors to tuck shop food and kettles valued at R850 000. There are Black lives here too being robbed of progress in life and it matters too.

Shopping at the Shoprite Chatsworth store is a nightmare on a hot day. It is 34 degrees outside, the store is packed and the aircon in the store is not working. This is not the first time. The aircon at this store is always not on. Either it is not working or they are not putting it on.
