Exam leaks were here long before Covid- 19

Julius Malema talks of racism, he says whites and Indians are racist. The question I would like to ask him is, are he and his followers not racist? The way he talks makes him the number one racist in South Africa if not Africa. He also needs to learn how to respect other human beings. | Ronnie

It is going to be interesting to see if Bheki Cele and the SAPS actually do anything about Julius Malema's latest racist outburst. So far, there has been no sign of any sanction or condemnation of his regular rants from the government or the governing party. So much so, that unless something happens this time, it would not be stretching the imagination to be persuaded that they are deliberately allowing him free range and that, in fact, they covertly support his racist views.

GOVERNMENT

Hundreds of families are making arrangements to relocate to other parts of the world. These are people with experience, skills, and highly qualified in the areas where there is a great need for them. Our economy will suffer when highly skilled people leave. The only reason for this is crime and a poorly managed economy. This corrupt government is to blame. Manufacturing is the only way to improve this economy. It will be able to absorb most of the unemployed young people. But can we compete against a giant like China, that produces almost everything we have in our homes and country? Not in another 100 years. So where does that leave South Africa? With lndia and other Asian countries competing in manufacturing at low cost, we don't stand a chance.

Mike, your comments about the copper industry were interesting – you're right about how it must be controlled, of course, but definitely not by a government department – they'll do more stealing than happens now! Don't you read the stories about corruption?

So now the "experts" say matric exam papers were leaked because of pressure put on pupils by Covid measures? Oh, please. Leaks happened in the past with no such pressure. One has only to read the education department's exam manual to see what tricks our pupils get up to, to cheat in the exam. This has been with us long before Covid. Maybe our curriculum has failed in teaching good values? Maybe our parents have failed to do this? Maybe our politicians do not set a good example?

ODDS AND ENDS

Do you know the value of you, or do you just value you on your face value? Just imagine that the Lord plants a tiny grain of sand into an oyster to create a beautiful natural pearl and places it in the vast ocean to be found like a precious treasure. And so it is with valuable, exclusive you. The very same Allah created you and placed you into this world as a priceless treasure, too. You are a rare and special gift and loved by many. Sad it is that you may not know this fact until you are laid to rest. Many will mourn and cry, sadly your greatness only recognised, appreciated and praised after you die. Allah's greatest creation, never underestimate your worth. Safeguard and value your life and deliver every day in some beautiful way. You were definitely not created by mistake! Salaams and Duas. My tribute to Satish Dhupelia and great souls like him. We salute you all. | Yusuf Patel

Welcome to Durban, the city of bright lights and potholes. One can choose from round to square, we have them all. | Joe Soap

Please can people be educated that if they cannot afford food and homes, they must not keep having babies. Even young girls admit to having them to collect grants. People have enough problems without having to donate constantly.

Ramaphosa, you say the ANC is like a cat, always lands on its feet. Watch out the cat doesn't land in water. It will drown just like the ANC. | # G47

My daughter was on Discovery Key Care. She also had the same experience with Discovery. She also had to wait for four to five working days for authorisation while she was in a lot of pain.
