Insurance murder accused out on bail

A KWAZULU-NATAL family are hoping more people will be arrested in connection with the death of Nobunzima Mbele, 60, who they believe was murdered because of an insurance policy.

Mbele was found dead on a road leading to her home near umzimkhulu, south of Durban, in December 2019. Her daughter-in-law, Precious Lungile Xaba, 27, has been charged with fraud and murder.

Mbalenhle Xaba appeared in the umzimkhulu Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday. She is out on bail and the case was adjourned until November 29.
