Zim govt dwells on false hope, promises

-

IT’S sad having an unfaithful government that provides false hope and promises to its nation and causing itself not to be trusted due to its highly intolerant leading style.

Apparently, the current President Emmerson Mnangagwa made several promises since 2017, such as improving on gross violation of human rights, free expression for media or peaceful protests. What has followed after these empty promises has caused “Beloved Country Zimbabwe To Cry”.

There is nothing to write home about as he has continued to be involved in unleashing gross human rights violations, sexual abuse, violent attacks on human rights activists/defenders, abductions, torture, arbitrary arrests, and the physical abuse of Mdc-alliance opposition activists such as Makomborero Haruzivishe, Cecilia Chimbiri, Netsai Marova, and MP Joanna Mamombe, who were abducted after taking part in a peaceful protest.

There are several unaccountable human rights violations. Anyone who is seen or assumed to be not singing from the same hymn is considered an enemy of the state, hence their human rights are violated and the Zimbabwe government is instilling fear into the non-democracy nation. All this has been carried out by security forces and currently there is no rule of law in Zimbabwe.

President Emmerson Mnangagwa should stop acting like a clueless, corrupt and careless leader and prioritise embarking on reforms and fulfil his promise on human right violations rather than intensifying the situation. Hence, human rights activists continue to flee the country to neighbouring countries such as South Africa, Botswana, Namibia and other countries such as the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia.
