MARK RUBERY CHESS

The Dutch chess researcher, Tim Krabbe, has over the years collected games which are interesting for their historical and curiosity value. They include games with the most moves, consecutive checks, under-promotions latest castling etc. Krabbe is also an accomplished writer with his book ‘The Golden Egg’ being made into a film 1988 and later given the Hollywood treatment in ‘The Vanishing’ (1993) starring Jeff Bridges and Kiefer Sutherland. Having seen them both I feel the original Dutch film was more chilling.

He also has collected what he feels are the most fantastic moves ever played over a chessboard of which the following game qualifies…
