THE DA in Parliament has written to President Cyril Ramaphosa calling for a commission of inquiry into capture and corruption within the SAPS.

DA spokesperson for police Andrew Whitfield said the aim was to save the SAPS from complete capture and collapse.

Whitfield said startling revelations had been made about the classification of the Charl Kinnear report as “top secret” at a police committee meeting last Wednesday. Kinnear was killed outside his home in 2020, with no one arrested. | IOL
