Rude cashiers, shop assistants should let others have their jobs

- NTOMBIZODWA NTSUBA

An important plea to Premier Nomusa Dube-ncube and King Misuzulu Sinqobile kazwelithini to unite the community and develop all the assets of the people of this wonderful province to be the Tourism Capital of Africa! We have a beautiful, multicultural, dynamic South African city in Durban, the jewel in the Kingdom of the Zulu, with our rich history and historic places and buildings. Create work for our wonderful youth. It is impressive to see young people of KZN (and I mean everyone, forget about AA and BEE – seems like the younger generation don’t care!), and get these well-educated young people working and progressing their careers in The Jewel of The Kingdom. Well done to the visionary leadership of the owners of the The Pearls. Another big casino, restaurant and entertainment complex is urgently needed on the south side of Durban. Many jobs would be created. |

The discussion on East Coast Radio, concerning grumpy, arrogant and bad-mannered cashiers or shop assistants needs to be taken seriously. There are thousands of people looking for work every day, so if these grumpy, arrogant cashiers and shop assistant hate their jobs, then they should leave immediately and be replaced by more people-friendly workers. | NARESH SINGH

Senzo Meyiwa’s case is taking way too long to end. The family want justice and Senzo wants to rest in peace. Eight years. The person or persons who killed him should have been long ago doing their time, or almost finishing their time. |

I have a pit bull that is 14 human years old. That dog is most disciplined and well mannered. My back door or gate can be open, he will not budge unless given an order to move! He won’t even touch his food without command! I have another pit bull pup and a two-year-old German shepherd. The camaraderie among them is unbelievable! They do have their naughty streaks at times. |

Allowing the public protector to finish her term would destroy any remaining credibility of investigations carried out by her office during the remainder of her term. The PP is supposed to “protect the public”, hence the term “public protector”. Not to protect the ANC or its corrupt members. | ALEC

We have triple economic challenges that are not easy to address. It’s not the making of Ramaphosa but what he had inherited as president. I doubt if corruption has worsened in this administration but rather corruption is addressed and it will take time to reap the benefits. But granted, we see things differently and that’s the beauty and uniqueness of human nature. What I would have done if I were Ramaphosa is bring all the new ministers together and take out those who were in the administration with Zuma because of sabotage. But he isn’t me and he didn’t but rather worked with them which is a noble thing he did and I respect him for that. |
