That man served his time just like any other convict, he deserves parole.

@Doctor_101love

The application of law does not deal with emotions. How many years has Janusz Walus done in Jail? Has he shown remorse for killing Chris Hani? Does he deserve to be placed on parole? Has the nation healed yet after Hani was assassinated?

@Lwaziheart

TRC & the post apartheid criminal justice system have failed black people in this country and spat on the graves of those who died for nothing. And we must be bold about it. They died for nothing.

@Theopticfellow

It’s a sad day to see this man released, but that is our law and judges are meant to apply the law. Unfortunately we do not have different laws for Chris Hani’s killers. It’s sad, though.

@Ndivhuwobarnes

Rules of the law and personal feelings if allowed to mix, we’ll end up with a messed-up control of the application of the rules. A lot of people who committed murder to less important people are already out of prison on parole.

The past 30 years have not been kind to Ma Limpo. Her wound is still raw. Vengeance will not bring her husband back. The truth may be even more painful. Many comrades lost their lives and paid the ultimate price. Holding onto her pain is causing more pain.

@Yesthatruss

People who say he’s served his time do not understand how this man destroyed the real struggle for land... but, anyways, black people easily forget, we see that by how we are only angry for a cause until the next trend.

@Nichoza2

We have so many repeating offenders who were given bail... so I think Walus served his term and he is rehabilitated. Let him go.

@monde_mabhoza

This wasn’t just a human killing but an attempt to kill our freedom so it cannot be treated as ordinary murder, hence Janusz Walus deserves to rot in jail. Unless he’s willing to speak the whole unfiltered truth about what really happened...

@Ndieni1

People are hurt about this court judgment but we chose a constitutional democracy and judges were just interpreting the laws enacted by parliamentarians. Emotions will rise and opportunists are praised for insulting the judiciary – so disappointing.
