Why should guests pay for food at lavish weddings?

What happened at Nongoma SAPS is not something new at Zululand District police stations. In November 2021 a case docket was registered by a concerned officer when he discovered that charge office members were instructed not to register cases without the approval of the station commander and detective branch commander.

A number of case dockets were found hidden; one the sexual assault of young school: Ulundi CAS 136/11/2021. Defeating the ends of justice and fraud (case dockets corruption/manipulation of crime stats) was opened by this honest officer. Eight members have recently been charged departmentally including the station commander, detective branch commander and VISPOL commander to name a few. The sad part is that the honest police officer is now hurt by too many people in the Zululand District and has become an outcast. What is extremely worrying is the fact that even the number one senior police manager in the district is supporting corrupt police officers, and is angered by the action of the honest police officer. The honest police officer is living in fear because of threats he’s receiving. The reason why case dockets are not registered is to manipulate crime stats; it is alleged that it was a call from the most senior police officer in the district to look good on preventing crime in Zululand. The current station commander of Nongoma is not part of this corruption. | ANON

My understanding is that one cannot keep huge amounts of foreign currency in one’s possession and that if an SA citizen goes abroad, on his return he should return any foreign currency for local currency. Has this procedure changed? What does the law say? | YOUSUF KARODIA
