Giving EFF officials the boot over buses ‘a bit harsh’

-

POLITICS

Former Joburg mayor Mpho Phalatse opts for medical career as she steps down as DA councillor. The Western Cape is the best-run and best-managed province in this country by far. Well done, DA, keep up the good work. I JOHNNIE JOHNSTONE.

EFF MP Vusi Khoza ready to resign after 210 officials get the boot after failing to provide buses to birthday rally. If they failed with one bus from January to July for EFF 10th anniversary, how are they going to give us service delivery as people of this country? I NJABULO MNYANDU.

Imagine a councillor who is in East London, Eastern Cape, 1 000 km away, expected to fill as many buses as a councillor in Soweto. It’s obvious that the decision to recall the EFF councillors was not debated, it came straight from the Commander In Chief. I KHANYISA NDEVU.

As much as I understand the decision of the EFF, I find it a bit harsh. It could be better if they fine the EFF councillors. I ERROL STANLEY.

CRIME

Verulam police search for murder suspects after homeless man is beaten, burnt in twilight attack. It seems to me that we have thrown our humanness out of the window. The right to respect everyone is also enshrined in our Constitution. I SINHLATII MUNHU.

The culprits who beat up and set alight a homeless man should be booked in jail. The areas don’t belong to rich and famous, they belongs to the poor people too. RIP peace friendly. I KELLY LEROUX.

Police arrest ‘heartless’ woman who allegedly set shack on fire, killing infant son

Police rescuing a killer instead of arresting her. Imagine killing a baby because of argument with your partner, and lawyers will be queuing to defend her claiming she’s insane. I MPUMI MDAKANE.

Police stats will give the impressiont this brutal act was the deed of a male! This woman will be sent for psychological observations, because females are incapable of such deeds. Sad. I SINHLATII MUNHU.

May the anger in us not prevail, but let the waters of peace wash our evil hearts and be made new, filled with warmth and comfort. I PHILANEZ KHANYILE.
