Smartphone in true sense of the word

I HAVE an admission to make right off the bat.The last time I interacted with a Nokia brand phone was probably with an E-series instrument.

Now that we are in the smartphone era, I haven’t quite trusted that the brand can deliver. That said, my time spent with the 7.1 was pleasantly surprising. The phone has a sleek black almost polished feel and look to it.

I have smaller-than-average hands, so the size of the phone matters. While it’s slightly larger than my current phone, it’s not too large as to make it difficult to hold and manoeuvre.

Another thing that I have discovered is that due to the electricity challenges which the country currently faces, it does matter just how long a fully charged device will be able to hold out.

Thankfully, on a averagely busy day, the battery lasts for about a day.

The phone is also quite user-friendly and being very practical, you are thankfully not going to spend a disproportionate amount of time trying to figure out how to make a call or send an SMS.

If you have used any other Android device, you should have no problems finding your way around the 7.1.

The phone’s graphics and colours are pretty standard. So you’re unlikely to bump into a couple of weird illustrations and designs.

I was also pleased to witness that the normal Android features such as Gmail, Google Doc, Sheets, Drive and navigation are standard. It’s only once you move out of the Android sphere that you realise that these features are important and make life that much easier.

Last but certainly not least is the phone’s camera.

I’m a selfie girl, so I was pleasantly surprised that the front camera which is X MP made me look like the superstar I know I can be if I drink enough water.

The other important feature of the PRO camera settings allowing you to adjust them as you see fit in order to get the most realistic shot.

The one thing I realised is that it’s a pretty standard smartphone, with the expected features such as a fingerprint unlocking system that you can combine with either a password, pattern or pin.

This instrument has convinced me that maybe, just maybe, the Nokia brand is ready to move into the new age with us.
