Michael Tambwe tore up the Ellis Park turf and the formbook when he helped the Lions hammer the Stormers 52-31 in Johannesburg.

The DRC-born left winger scored four tries, including a hat-trick in under 13 minutes, one of the fastest in Super Rugby history, to see the men in red and white extend their unbeaten run against South African opposition to 20 matches and put an end to an indifferent couple of weeks.

The fleet-footed 22-year-old is one of the exciting young talents making waves in local rugby, alongside Blitzboks wonderkid Selwyn Davids and University of the Western Cape full-back Tristan Lleyds, brother of Stormers star Dillyn.
