Eating more fish and beans isn’t just good for your waistline – it’s beneficial for your reproductive system too. A study in the Journal of Epidemiology & Community Health found that women who ate more legumes and seafood entered menopause later than those who ate a diet filled with pasta and rice. Given that early menopause is associated with a higher risk of cardiovascular disease, depression and premature death, make sure you include plenty of fish in your holiday braai menu.
