THIS afternoon the Flamingo Casino Meat and Slots Niner is on offer at the Kimberley Golf Club. The CTCS snowball draw follows, the value R1 650.

On Saturday it is the annual Staats Primary School golf fundraiser, the format is IPS. By tradition this event is an extremely well presented tournament. Late entries will be readily accepted.

On Sunday, with year-end approachin­g it is again a penultimat­e event, this time in the Sealing Solutions League. The format, the most friendly of the alternate shot matches, is Pinehurst. Ultimately, extraordin­ary effort will be required to dent the top three teams – Golf Shop, Timbaworld and Die Boepens Span. MVD and Kimberley Batteries are currently the closest competitor­s. The draw is: 8am: Crackers vs Kimberley Batteries; 8.07: Aurecon vs Pretenders; 8.14: Molinaris vs MVD; 8.21: HNK vs Sealing Solutions; 8.28: SSSL Dial a Dog Food vs Die Boepens Span; 8.35: C-Pac vs Coastal Tool Hire; 8.42: Golf Shop vs Lenong.

On Wednesday, Keith Brown and Henri van Aarde, the BSV team, again rose to the occasion to claim the betterball prize in the Konica Minolta Business League. Neil Steyn won the individual stableford section on 42 points. Two players followed on 40 points – Hein Voight won the count-out to claim the runner-up spot, while Johan Herselman, who must be the form player of the month having returned three 40 pointers in as many games, was placed third. Keith Brown was fourth on 39 points with Tenderson Manyetsa was fifth on 38 points.
