KIMBERLEY The Galeshewe Police have appealed to the community to assist them in tracing two missing persons.
Police spokesperson, Sergeant Majang Skalkie, said that in one of the cases they are searching for a 24-yearold woman, Petronel Selabe, who was last seen on July 7 this year.
“Selabe was reported missing at the Galeshewe Police Station on August 14 2018. She was last seen on July 7 2018. She was residing in Seochareng Street in Galeshewe. She has afro hair and is short and slim. She was last seen wearing a pair of black jeans, a floral green top, a black and white jacket and black shoes,” said Skalkie.
She urged anyone with information about her whereabouts to contact the investigating officer, Detective Warrant Officer Christopher Botha, at the Galeshewe police station on 082 469 1803. “All information will be treated as strictly confidential”.
In a separate matter, Skalkie said that the police are searching for a 62-yearold man, Pet Seekoei, who was reported missing on May 6 this year.
“Seekoei was last seen on February 2 2018. He was reported missing by his brother-in-law. He has a fuller figure body, is medium tall, has grey hair, a grey moustache and a grey beard. He was last seen wearing a pair of blue jeans, black shoes and a grey tracksuit top.
“Anyone who might have information about his whereabouts is requested to contact the investigating officer, Detective Warrant Officer Christopher Botha, of the Galeshewe police station on 082 469 1803. All information will be treated as strictly confidential,” Skalkie said.
BLOEMFONTEIN Police are investigating an officer after his teenage son killed himself using his service firearm.
The Grade 7 pupil, 13, was found dead with a bullet wound in the forehead in his home in Heidedal, Bloemfontein, last Tuesday.
Police spokesperson Colonel Thandi Mbambo said a case was being investigated following the discovery of the body of the boy with a gunshot wound.
