COLESBERG residents are without water and have to rely on water from a rusty water tanker. According to the residents, the provided water is unpurified and they have to boil it but this is often difficult due to the costs involved. A resident from Khayelitsha in Colesberg said the taps in their houses were completely dry. He said that they were forced to rely on water from a tanker but this was only replenished every three days. “We have to make sure it lasts otherwise there is no water at all.”
