A STEADY rain set in again last night, and .9 inches has been registered. The downfall was equally distribute­d throughout the district. Washaways continue to take place on the Upington-prieska line. Soaking rains have fallen throughout the district during the last few days. Altogether 1.41 inches was recorded.

THE ROAD Safety Council has appealed to all motorists to be aware of what the law now provides in regard to moving vehicles involved in accidents. In the past vehicles involved in minor accidents could not be moved without the permission of a police or traffic officer. The new Uniform Road Traffic Ordinances permit the removal of a vehicle involved in an accident from the scene of the accident if no person has been killed or injured.
