Teams ready for Post-easter Top Four Soccer Tournament

LOCAL soccer fans have been spoiled of late, and that’s a good thing.

After the recently-concluded Masters Easter Tournament, it’s now time for the Post-easter Top 4 Soccer Tournament hosted by De Vees United, and soccer fans are anticipati­ng a thrilling event.

The tournament will be held at the Vuyolwethu Secondary School grounds tomorrow, and will feature four clubs from the region.

The clubs participat­ing in the tournament feature Royal Chiefs from Petrusburg and three clubs from Kimberley; De Vees United from Donkerhoek, Kappa United, and Roodepan’s Jacksonvil­le FC.

With multiple prizes on offer, including the Player of the Tournament, Coach of the Tournament, and Top Goalscorer award, you can be certain that each team will be eager to give it their all to emerge as tournament champions.

The chairman of hosts De Vees United, Sipho Mkize, has emphasised that the tournament is about more than just winning. According to Mkize, it’s an opportunit­y for the players to explore and play against different clubs from different areas, and for club managers to create relationsh­ips with different clubs.

In the build-up to the tournament, soccer enthusiast­s have been speculatin­g as to which team will come out on top.

Royal Chiefs is a formidable team, and Kappa United and Jacksonvil­le FC are both known for their skilled players.

Meanwhile, De Vees United, as the host club, will be eager to make a statement and showcase their own special abilities on the field.

The draw for the tournament will take place on the morning of the event, adding an extra level of anticipati­on and excitement. With no clear favourites, the tournament promises to be an unpredicta­ble and thrilling affair.
