Boat­ing cou­ple res­cued just off Gor­don’s Bay Har­bour

A Pringle Bay cou­ple was res­cued af­ter their ski-boat suf­fered en­gine fail­ure off Gor­don’s Bay on Sun­day (2 Au­gust).

Meik­le­john said the duty crew of the Na­tional Sea Res­cue In­sti­tute’s Gor­don’s Bay Sta­tion 9 was ac­ti­vated for as­sis­tance at 13:11.

“Our craft, was launched and on our ar­rival at the ski-boat, we rigged a tow­line and towed the cou­ple into Gor­don’s Bay Har­bour with­out in­ci­dent, and helped put the boat on the trailer.”
