College’s hockey girls run, walk for Hope and Light

SOMERSET WEST – The under-18A girls’ hockey team of Somerset College made the most of their cancelled participation in the St Mary’s Waverley Hockey Festival, covering the 1 400-km distance from Somerset College to St Mary’s by running or walking over four weeks on home turf. They set a target of raising R21 000 by completion. Furthermore, they decided the funds raised would be donated to Hope and Light Community Welfare in Sir Lowry’s Pass Village.
