7 NEWS Distrikspo­s 13 August 2020 NUUS CAPE TOWN CANNOT BE COVID-COMPLACENT The City of Cape Town renews its call to residents to continue being vigilant in terms of the COVID-19 pandemic. There has been a slowdown in the number of cases and fatalities reported in recent weeks but this does not mean that the pandemic is over. Experience has shown that several countries have experience­d second waves of infections. So we cannot let our guard down – the golden rules STILL apply: 1. Wash hands regularly and thoroughly with soap and water, or use sanitiser with an alcohol content of at least 70% 2. Don’t touch your face 3. Wear a mask in public at all times 4. Keep your distance of at least 1,5 metres 5. Cover your cough 6. If you’re sick, stay at home Call the toll-free provincial COVID-19 hotline for advice on 080 928 1402. Wash your hands.
