Audi unveiled the prototype for its first allelectric model at the Geneva Motor Show last month. The camouflaged exterior of the Audi e-tron conceals a sporty premium SUV with space for five people along with plenty of luggage space, similar to that of an Audi Q5. Audi promises fast charging capability of up to 150 kW to charge the 95 kWh battery pack in just 30 minutes for a range of up to 500 km. A dual electric motor with 370 kW of power feeding an all-wheel drive powertrain catapults this quattro from 0-100 km/h in 4.6 seconds. Until the start of series production, almost 250 development vehicles will complete testing on four continents over more than five million kilometres under extreme conditions. The production version of the Audi e-tron launches on the European market at the end of 2018.
