CHARGING AHEAD WITH CONVICTION

-

The past three months have been taxing for the entire country. What with the national lockdown having scuppered businesses across the board, not the least the small to medium enterprises.

Indeed, the end of this Covid-19 epidemic is anything but nigh and we, as a nation, must collectively do everything necessary to overcome and remain positive throughout. We are a strong nation by default, and it will take each and everyone one of us to rebuild our country and our communities, not the government.

Granted, it is perhaps easier said than done but unity is the only way out of the current doldrums we happen to find ourselves in. Many have lost their lives, jobs and livelihoods and the future is looking ever so bleak. Pause! Take stock of the situation and work with what you currently have and where you are. Let us cut the cloth to fit our bodies and tighten our proverbial belts, we will conquer this pandemic, together!

With that said, we are delighted to bring you another great edition of your favourite motoring read, following a slight hiatus. We bring you our first driving impression on home soil of the spectacular Porsche Taycan Turbo S electric sportscar. We also bring you the first SA driving impression of the BMW M8 Competition, while we also try our hand at the Maserati Levante Trofeo. We also look at the latest junior BMW M Performance models in the mould of the M135i and M235i Gran Coupe.

There’s also content on the latest technological gadgets while we have taken a lockdown short left in the Toyota Fortuner Epic Edition to see how it fares. Of course, there is plenty more gluttonous automotive content for you to indulge in.

So, sit back, relax and enjoy the read!

Let’s be Driven and to all the ladies, happy Women’s Month! Lerato Matebese lerato@drivenmag.co.za
