Simulators are a near true-to-life imitation that’s not only used to cut developmental and research costs, but also predict the behaviour of real-life counterparts. The reason, in short, is that thanks to advanced computer software several variables like aerodynamic drag and weight can be taken into account without ever having to leave the indoors. Keeping this in mind, Ford has teamed up with sim-racers to create the Fordzilla P1 concept – a first of its kind. Using inspiration from the Ford GT the P1 was created with several factors considered like straight-line stability and cornering prowess. While only virtual at the moment, Ford said that it’s considering adding it to a popular where the 2006 iteration left off with a revolutionary technological engine that makes it all happen. With graphical fidelity that, at the highest settings, make it difficult to distinguish from the real McCoy, this simulator uses live racing simulation series in 2021.
