THE YOUNG STARS OF FUTURE AUTOMOTIVE DESIGN

Today’s children are tomorrow’s car designers. While that might sound a bit philosophical, it’s been proven by Rolls-Royce’s Young Designer Competition which was run during the lockdown stages of the Covid-19 pandemic. The competition was devised for children under the age of 16 as a creative outlet, and from what we’ve seen, there were no limitations on the inventive stuff. One budding designer created an all-transportationneeds land-yacht called “Prosperity” that might just be the most exclusive amphibious vehicle concept in the world with a road-going yacht that even has a helipad. Other young designers dreamed up the future of luxury personal flight with flying cars. It was the job of the Rolls-Royce design team to interpret these designs and render them into 3D sketches. From the looks of things, the future of car design seems to be in safe hands.
