DRUM - - Ed's Note -

As we’ve noticed in recent years our national soccer team, Bafana Bafana, is shameful. They always disappoint when they’re supposed to deliver, but when it doesn’t count they win (Back to basics, boys, 19 October).

Their win against Burkina Faso shows that this team has capacity but they’re lacking that killer instinct and dedication. It’s very late for them now to pick them- selves up and qualify to play in the 2018 Fifa World Cup.

If you want to save yourself heartache and disappointment, don’t raise your hopes for Bafana Bafana making it – after all, how do you explain losing twice to a country like Cape Verde that doesn’t even have a professional soccer team? MUSA DLAMINI, POLOKWANE
