She knows what it’s like not to fit in and to be stared at. This 33-year-old, known only as Chezza, was born with congenital nevi – pigmented birthmarks of various shapes and sizes spread across her body. It’s taken years but she’s finally learnt to accept what she now refers to as her “beauty spots”. “For most of my life I was self-conscious and embarrassed about my skin,” she wrote on Instagram. She writes that four months ago she made peace with her looks and found a way to embrace her uniqueness. Previously baring her bod in public would have been a real no-no, but now she views her moles as badges of honour. “This is the happiest I’ve been,” she adds. “Yes, I have birthmarks of all different shapes and sizes and I love every single one.”
