DRUM - - Ed's Note -

I’m referring to the article “Bullied but not broken” (11 April).

I wonder what those EFF members were hoping to achieve when they chanted Senzo Meyiwa’s name when Kelly Khumalo was performing at the party’s manifesto launch in KwaZuluNatal.

The case of Senzo’s killing is still under investigation – the police must be pushed to speed up the process.

It’s wrong for the public to speculate that Kelly was involved in her boyfriend’s death, but it’s frustrating that the case has been dragging on for five years without any signs of progress.

We shouldn’t vent our frustrations on Kelly, who also lost the father of her child. We have lost a national hero in Senzo but that doesn’t mean we should destroy a good entertainer like Kelly.

When she performs on stage she is making a living so Senzo’s child can be fed.

Booing her off the stage can destroy her career and her children could starve. E KUBU, EMAIL
