DRUM - - IN THE CLASSROOM -

Many people rely on public transport such as buses and taxis to travel every day. Be sure to stay safe when using these modes of transport by following these safety tips: Always be on time for a bus or taxi and don’t run after it if you’re late.

Wait for the taxi or bus in a neat row with other passengers on the pavement. Don’t stand in the street. Wait for the bus or taxi to stop completely before getting in or out. Avoid getting into already overloaded buses and taxis. Get in one by one and sit immediately. Make sure you know where the nearest emergency exit is. Keep the passage in a bus clear to allow passengers to move freely. Put suitcases and bags under seats. When it comes to seating on a bus,

always give up your seat for older people, pregnant women and disabled passengers.
