A WORLD OF WASTE

DRUM - - NEWS -

About 80% of items buried in landfills could be recycled.

It takes 500 years for an average-sized plastic bottle to fully decompose.

If you recycle one plastic bottle, you could save enough energy to run a 100watt bulb for four hours.

The energy it takes to produce 1,5 million tonnes of plastic (300m tonnes are produced globally each year) could power 250 000 homes.

More than 100 000 sea animals die each year due to plastic entanglement and ingestion.
