DRUM - - Ed's Note -

The article “Changing gears” (22 August) explains why Metro FM suspended DJ Fresh.

Without condoning foul language on air, I strongly feel that DJ Fresh’s case was a small matter that was blown out of proportion.

As a major radio station with a large following, Metro FM should have resolved the matter quickly and without a big fuss.

That DJ Fresh moved so swiftly to land another broadcasting job at 947 while Metro FM was still procrastinating is proof that you can’t keep a good man down.

It’s obvious that when a popular radio personality joins a radio station, he brings his listeners too.

We know that radio stations have codes of conduct but they must consider the listeners when disciplining the presenters.

Way to go DJ Fresh. Keep on inspiring the aspiring young entertainers. MJ KUBU, EMAIL
