SPICE – THE INDIAN KITCHEN

-

BEST FOR Innovative Indian dining. FOOD This is sharing food at its best. Start with Kashmiri flatbread stuffed with cheddar cheese, cashew nuts and raisins for that unexpected sweetness, and the keema paratha, which is richly filled with lamb mince and spiced potatoes. Combine it with paneer chilli (cheese with red, green and yellow peppers) and fish pakoda. For mains you could go the curry route with chicken Madras or a spicy lamb curry. You can’t do Indian without at least one dhal, and do order the palak paneer, an Indian version of creamy spinach with cheese. DRINKS The selection of wine is balanced yet conservative and perfectly matches the spiciness of Indian food on offer. SERVICE Patrons are well looked after. AMBIENCE It has a muted Indian feel in colour and texture, and is unexpectedly warm and cosy in a mall setting. (DdB)
