FOOD Following suit from the other 95 establishm­ents, the menu features classics like an avocado and blue cheese salad, grilled tuna steak and freshly made pasta dishes. Blackboard specials like the burrata caponata – a simple, tomato-based caponata with pine nuts, aubergines, olives and peppers, served alongside a perfect ball of burrata – is summer in a dish. The tagliatell­a frutti di mare features homemade pasta, a delicate tomato sauce and an abundance of seafood. The slow-cooked lamb ravioli is served with sage brown butter sauce. Desserts are a highlight, with options that include tiramisu, an Italian play on Eton mess, seasonal homemade gelatos and the iconic chocolate fondant. DRINKS Easy-drinking, reasonably priced estate wines, plus some rare blends. SERVICE The staff are hyper-efficient and ever-present. AMBIENCE A simply designed space with clean lines and wooden décor. It also doesn’t hurt that you have a panoramic view of the estate. (JS)
