What inspired you into community development? Every day I see a lot of things, both good and bad such as war, crime, hatred and many more in my community and we find that our youngsters are involved. Such issues got me on my feet to actually stand for a change within communities for better living.
How do you make sure that you reach your goals? I take chances, I listen and read books and I never stop learning. I write my goals down and make sure that I look at them every day. I put pressure on myself.
What gives you the courage as a mentor? Everyone struggles and get scared. It takes courage to ask for help. Many of us are afraid to take risk of vulnerable, so we pretend to know, in fact we are often encouraged to fake it until we make it. As a mentor, I love listening to others and help them as I also learn new things. I ensure that for everyone that comes for mentorship, I put myself in their shoes and immediately find ways to reshape their ways of doing things or thinking to greater deeds.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years’ time? I am a big dreamer. I dream of seeing myself modelling for big and well-known agencies, stores and also doing television commercials. My career is very important, I dream owning my own restaurant, boutique, salon, a hall and church.
