Passion for music:
Her passion for music groomed her to being a God-fearing woman and has given her great opportunities to experience new great things in the industry. With the support from her parents, Buhle respects her music career and makes sure that she does things accordingly. “My parents supported me from my early days into the industry to date and helped me to stay positive at all times”, she says.
Winning an award and current project:
Buhle has been nominated in various awards for the past 4 years. It was in 2017 when she received an award for best traditional album at the Mzansi Christian Gospel awards. “I could not believe when they called out my name as I could feel that I am being recognised for the great effort and I believe there are more bigger and bigger things coming”, she says. Buhle also adds that, being nominated for the awards such as the Gospel Crown Awards shows recognition to her even though she has not yet won one. It is Buhle’s dream and belief that she will one day win a crown award. Buhle is currently in studio recording her 5th album and her single track will be released towards the end of April. Her music is available at any Musica, Dakota as well as on iTunes, Google Play and other music platforms. The award winning sensational singer, Buhle Nhlangulela allows herself to learn from those who lead her to great ventures in the music industry. The Kwa-Zulu Natal born singer is known from the trending duet “Sne’themba” with their hit song “Ubani othi Aba zalwane baya bora”. Growing up, she wanted to be a medical doctor, but due to unstable finances, her dream had to shut. Her hopes for greater things in life never lowered as she carried on hustling for her dreams. Buhle started her music career years ago and has had opportunities to back for the well-known South African stars; Dr. Rebecca Malope, Deborah Fraser, Lundi Tyamara, Sfiso Ncwane and many more. Buhle opens up to Empowered Youth Magazine about her life in the industry, Motherhood and what she is up to.
Standing on her own:
In 2007, Buhle released her first solo album “I Agenda ye Zulu”. The album scored her big up thumbs from her fans and the gospel industry as a whole. She then released another hot offer titled “Umthandazo” in 2016 and was nominated in the Gauteng Gospel Music Awards. In 2017, the angelic voiced Buhle released her 4th album titled “Garage ka Moya”, which includes hit tracts such as “Wang’thatha uJesu and Dankie Jehovah”. “I have always found comfort in music”, she says. Buhle’s joy is to see her fans being taught about the word of God through her music and seeing change in their lives. “Every time I write a song, I think of how one may be motivated by the song and make sure that the song is well- structured”, she says.
