EDITOR’S NOTE:

Empowered Youth Magazine - - CONTENTS -

of us have been doing a very good job at pretending to be happy and okay with the people around us. We have been in bad relationships, friendships etc. because we have convinced ourselves that it is better to be disrespected than to be alone.

You should not be afraid of being alone or walking away from those who let you down, even those who choose to leave you because it may be for your own good. There is more power in recognising your own voice and knowing your worth, than having someone controlling you. Nobody has the power to shadow over your dreams unless you give it to them. It does not matter whether it is a lover, family member or a friend, you are in charge of your happiness and it is you who feels every bit of pain through the obstacles. It is okay to lose close friends if they are just there to just make themselves feel better by letting you down. Choose to make yourself happy before anyone.

As we will be celebrating Easter season, I send out my special wishes to you and your loved ones. May it be a season to remember. Remember to drive safely, it is better to rather arrive late than dead. From me and the rest of the Empowered Youth Magazine team, ENJOY!
