Ch oc-chi p cookies
Makes 15-20 Ready in 25 min
150g butter, softened 150g castor sugar Few drops vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
1 medium egg 250g plain flour
½ tsp bicarbonate of soda
200g milk chocolate drops
1 Heat the oven to 190°C. Cream butter, sugar, vanilla and salt. Add the egg and stir in the flour and bicarbonate of soda. Mix well to make a dough and then stir in the chocolate drops. If the dough is very
soft, chill until it firms up.
2 Break off walnutsized pieces of dough and roll into balls. Press them on to 2 x lined baking sheets, fattening them slightly.
3 Bake the cookies for 10-12 min until brown at edges but still slightly soft in centre. Remove from the oven and leave to cool on the baking sheets for a few min, then transfer to a wire rack.
