Questions asked as learner driver flips vehicle
A 30-YEAR-OLD learner driver, travelling alone, sustained moderate injuries after her vehicle overturned on Main Road in Empangeni on Monday afternoon.
Traffic had to be diverted into the right lane as the vehicle, which had flipped onto its side, obstructed the left lane near the Bimbos Engen Garage.
According to reports, the woman, who obtained her learner’s licence in Mpumalanga, had been travelling towards Empangeni Rail at the time of the accident.
Information regarding the cause of the accident and reasons why she was unescorted by a licensed driver remain unclear.
A case has been opened and will be investigated by Empangeni SAPS.
