Unity for the greater good
HOUSE of Shalom in Brackenham on Saturday held a high tea fundraiser to commemorate Women’s Month.
The fun-filled afternoon included a thought provoking, motivational talk by Dr Julie Moodley, and some fun and games.
Moodley spoke about the strength of women, particularly in the church, as they rise up and carry out their purpose.
‘As problem solvers and through empowerment, women are kingdom advancers on earth to carry out our God-given assignment and purpose,’ she said.
Moodley said everyone goes through pain and suffering, and while it seems futile at the time, there is a plan and a purpose, which is for people to learn from their situations and emerge stronger.
She said women must not be swayed by people’s opinions and they must tear themselves away from discouragement.
‘There is strength in unity, we must stand together for the greater good.’
