Aquadene High crowned soc­cer kings

AQUADENE High School were crowned KZN Top 32 Schools Soc­cer Cham­pi­ons af­ter pip­ping Mqhawe High School 2-1 in a wa­ter­logged fi­nal played at Em­pan­geni High School on Satur­day.

The Richards Bay school first beat EHS 3-2 in the semi-fi­nal ear­lier in the day to book their spot in the fi­nal.

Mqhawe beat Esiz­ibeni High 1-0 to ce­ment their spot in the fi­nals.

The com­pe­ti­tion saw first teams (U18) from 32 high schools across KZN com­pete in the knock-out com­pe­ti­tion played over four weeks.
