New coun­cil­lor sworn in at Mthon­ja­neni

NEWLY sworn-in Mthon­ja­neni Mu­nic­i­pal­ity Coun­cil­lor, Mthem­beni Ndlovu has vowed to con­tinue with ser­vice de­liv­ery ini­tia­tives at the same pace as did his pre­de­ces­sor Mhloliseni Zulu.

Ndlovu was speak­ing af­ter his in­duc­tion, which took place last week at the Coun­cil Cham­bers.

He be­came an IFP coun­cil­lor fol­low­ing his vic­tory dur­ing the re­cent by-elec­tion held on 3 Oc­to­ber.

‘I will in­ten­sify all the pro­grammes and com­mu­nity projects which were started by for­mer Cllr Zulu. I wish to com­mit my­self to be a good ser­vant of the peo­ple all the time,’ he said, in front of Mthon­ja­neni Mag­is­trate Siyabonga Ngongoma.

In wel­com­ing Cllr Ndlovu, Mthon­ja­neni Mayor, Si­bonginkosi Biyela said he hoped Ndlovu will ad­just well to a team of ded­i­cated coun­cil­lors in chang­ing the lives of the peo­ple of Mthon­ja­neni for the bet­ter.

‘As the coun­cil we need to see you vis­it­ing all the cor­ners of your ward, while en­sur­ing that you ser­vice your com­mu­nity equally,’ he said.
