Defending touch champs in lead

DEFENDING champions Bolt Master (men) and Mean Machines (ladies) remain unbeaten and lead the way going into the final week of the popular annual McCarthy Toyota Empangeni Rugby Football Club Touch Rugby League.

Both are favourites to bag the coveted titles for 2018.

Finals day will take place on Saturday at Mick Kelly Park from 12.30pm.

All locals are encouraged to come out and support the fun-filled family day.

Teams will play one game each on Tuesday and Thursday evening, which will cement their final placings going into finals day on Saturday.

Tuesday evening results Men

• Black Ferns beat Paradiso Hotel 6-1.

• Black Panthers and Soweto drew 1-1.

• Wit Blitz beat Booze Crew 4-3.

• Select Sports beat Mavericks 2-0.

• Bolt Master beat Soweto 2-1.

• Black Ferns beat Black Panthers 4-3.

• Mean Machines beat Pink Panthers 3-1.

• Purple Ferns beat Pop-Up’s 4-0.
