Roadside condition appalling

Eyethu Baywatch - - LETTERS -

THE condition of the roadside along Ngwelezane Street in Empangeni is an eyesore with building rubble, waste and rubbish lining the road.

On top of the appalling condition, we have trucks parked on either side of the road protruding onto the busy road in full view of the traffic cops at the nearby intersection. Why is nothing ever done? This busy road cannot be a truck stop as well.

Who is responsible for clearing the building rubble, which obviously belongs to the adjacent companies?

It is sad that the municipality just overlooks these transgressors. They would never allow this pollution in the Richards Bay CBD.

Yet we must watch the condition of the Empangeni CBD deteriorate. We are also ratepayers and our needs cannot be ignored.

Fix Empangeni too!
