Squab­bles have not af­fected TV sta­tion’s op­er­a­tions

COM­MU­NITY tele­vi­sion chan­nel 1KZN TV has reaf­firmed that the sta­tion has not been neg­a­tively af­fected by its re­cent in­ter­nal squab­bles.

In a me­dia re­lease the sta­tion noted that the is­sues per­tain­ing to the man­age­ment of the sta­tion are cur­rently dealt with by at­tor­neys and progress there on will be re­ported in due course.

‘Fol­low­ing the un­for­tu­nate and neg­a­tive pub­lic­ity about 1KZN TV in the last quar­ter of 2018, we would like the pub­lic to know that op­er­a­tions at the chan­nel were never af­fected.

‘After a very suc­cess­ful fes­tive sea­son, the ar­rival of 2019 has bought new en­ergy to the chan­nel. Our staff are look­ing for­ward to bring­ing the best pos­si­ble pro­gram­ming to our view­ers,’ the state­ment said.

‘We would like the pub­lic to know that 1KZN TV was es­tab­lished as a voice of the peo­ple and or­gan­i­sa­tions.

‘In this re­gard the sta­tion re­mains open to pub­lic scru­tiny, ad­vice and coun­sel.’
